Test and tag for heavy diesel and mechanical workshops
A busy workshop works its equipment hard. Grinders, drills, chargers and leads are dragged across the floor, and heavier machinery runs on three-phase power.
We test the lot onsite, single-phase and three-phase, and plan the visit around the jobs already in your bays.

Workshop equipment we test
Most of what plugs in around a workshop can be tested on the same visit:
- Drills, grinders and saws
- Extension leads and cable reels
- Battery chargers
- Plug-connected bench and pedestal machinery
- Compressors and pumps
- Workshop vacuums and extraction equipment
- Three-phase machinery, leads and adaptors
- Site lighting and transformers
We carry more than twenty three-phase adaptors. Send photos of any unusual plugs so we can confirm the scope before visiting.

Testing around your maintenance work
Testing generally needs access to each plug, and an item is briefly disconnected while it is tested. We work bay by bay, so the rest of the workshop keeps running.
Tell us which machines are mid-job, which cannot be switched off without notice, and when the workshop is quietest. After-hours testing is available by arrangement.
Plan a visit around your baysWhy workshop equipment needs regular checks
In WA, plug-connected equipment used in conditions likely to damage it or shorten its life has specific inspection and testing requirements. Dust, vibration, heat and mechanical damage are all common in a workshop.
The right schedule depends on the equipment and how it is used, not on a single interval for every workshop. Your workplace still needs to act on damage or faults between tests.

Records for every tool and machine
After testing you receive a barcoded asset report listing each item, where it is, its result and its next scheduled test date. We also send a reminder when the next visit is due.
Failed items are recorded against their asset number, so you can see what came out of service and why.
